“While attending culinary school, I was invited to cook carnitas with the groundskeeper and his family of Screaming Eagle Winery in Napa. One of the guys had this stunning Camaro, and I was instantly in love. The car exuded an aura of cool and sexy at the same time.

Cars are works of art, and in my “Cars on Fire” series, the flames aren’t about destruction, they’re about revealing the physical aura of the car’s existence. Since not everyone perceives that energy, I wanted to make it visible. Someone else might look at this and see just an old car, but to me, it was something more and this is how I see it.”
