I created this piece after visiting the Pablo Picasso Museum in Barcelona. I’ve always admired his work and the confidence he had in himself, especially his dedication to painting naturally,  like he draws and without as many rules. Rules are good I’ll have to say, he definitely needed some boundaries.

For a long time, I felt that my drawings weren’t realistic. But then I realized, I am not a camera or a printer and that isn’t my style.  I am incredibly impatient person with a collection of pens, shaped by a life filled with mistakes and accomplishments. Every experience I’ve had influences the way I see, the way I create, and the way I draw. And that, I’ve come to understand, is exactly how it should be.
